The island of Madagascar is immense and especially known for its baobabs and its lemurs, a little less for its subsoil, very rich. This island, the 4th largest in the world, has a luxuriant nature and 80% of its fauna is endemic.
Madagascar is also composed of mountains and extraordinary geological formations. The island is especially marked by its mixed population, endowed with an extraordinary sense of welcome.
This country also contains the largest open-air sapphire mine in the world that you can discover with us. So don't hesitate and join us as soon as possible to discover this fantastic island.
This program is for groups of 6 people maximum. (Stay possible between May and October). Exclusive programme also possible for groups of less than or more than 6 people throughout the year. (upon request)

Day 1: Reception at Antananarivo airport, then installation and rest in your hotel.
Day 2: A day's course on gems, fundamentals, cutting optimization, heat treatments, negotiation techniques and customs law, then departure for the market of Andravoahangy, where you will meet with many gem traders.
Day 3: Departure for Antsirabé, where you will visit the Market with the mass of the officers, and its traders, then visit the city.
Day 4: Departure for theIbity mines, famous for tourmalines, aquamarines and beryls...
Day 5: Departure for Fianarantsoa, to reach Isalo.
Day 6: Departure to join theIsalo national park to discover the lemurs reserve of Anja. (Endemic species of the island).
Day 7: Departure for the famous sapphire mines of Ilakaka.
Day 8: Departure for Sakaraha, where you will meet with many stone traders. Departure for Tulear.
Day 9: Departure by plane from Tulear to reach the capital (1h40 flight/optional), afternoon to visit the city and meet with some traders.
Day 10: Departure to Antananarivo airport, to join Europe by plane.
This price includes: transfers from and to Antananarivo airport, hotel accommodation in single room, breakfasts, ground transportation, guides, all courses and visits, and file fees.
This price does not include: the international flight from your country of origin (Return flight from Paris from 700 €/person), the flight from Tulear to Antananarivo about 250 €, lunches, dinners, drinks, visa fees, your personal expenses and additional purchases of stones, tips and possible taxes, as well as individual insurance.
